Blur Faces, Remove Metadata
Pick the photos you are about to post. The app shows what travels with them: where they were taken, when, on which phone, and the hidden extras. One tap blurs the faces it finds, a tap hides anything else, and every byte of metadata is removed. The picture itself is untouched, the original stays as it was, and nothing leaves your phone.
What it does
- Shows what the photo carries. Location as coordinates, time, camera and lens, software, serial numbers, embedded thumbnail, edit history, and anything hidden after the picture. In plain words, before you decide.
- Blurs the faces it finds. Near or far, groups included. Tap a face to keep it visible, for instance your own. Tap anywhere else to hide a plate, a house number, a screen. Pixelate, blur or solid.
- Removes the metadata without touching the picture. The file is rewritten at the container level, so the image bytes are identical to the original. Only when an area is hidden is the picture re-encoded.
- Checks the result. After cleaning, each copy is read again and the app shows you what it carries now. Usually: nothing.
- Leaves your originals alone. Clean copies go to the share sheet or sit next to the originals in your library. Nothing is deleted, nothing is modified.
Free and paid
Seeing the report is always free. Removing metadata is free for three photos a day. One purchase removes the limit and adds face blur and tap-to-hide, for every photo, forever. No subscription, no account.
The app removes the metadata a photo carries and hides the faces it finds. The report shows exactly what was found and what was removed. It does not make a photo untraceable, and it does not claim to.
Support
Does the app upload my photos anywhere?
No. Reading, face detection, blurring and the rewrite all run on your phone. The app has no server. On iOS it has no network code at all; on Android the only network-capable component is Google Play's billing library, used only to complete a purchase.
Why does my phone's own share sheet not do this?
iOS can drop the location when you share, if you find the option. Android has no equivalent outside Samsung's gallery. Neither touches what is in the picture: the faces in the background, the plate on the car, the number by the door. Most social apps strip metadata on upload, but messages, email, AirDrop and cloud drives keep it.
Is the picture changed?
When nothing is blurred, no. The metadata segments are removed from the file and the image data is copied byte for byte. When you hide an area, the picture has to be re-encoded, and the app says so on the result screen.
A face was missed, or something that is not a face was marked.
Tap the spot to hide it, or tap a wrongly marked face to keep it visible. Detection is on-device and works on faces at any distance, but no detector is perfect, which is why every face can be toggled and anything can be tapped.
Why is the copy a JPEG when my original was HEIC?
A HEIC cleaned without blur stays HEIC. When an area is hidden the picture is re-encoded, and the app writes a JPEG, which every app and site accepts.
What does the purchase unlock?
Unlimited photos and face blur, plus hiding anything you tap, forever. Removing metadata from up to three photos a day stays free.
How do I restore a purchase on a new phone?
Open the unlock sheet and tap "Restore purchase". The store recognises your purchase; no account is involved.
Refunds
Purchases are handled by Apple and Google, and refunds go through them: reportaproblem.apple.com for the App Store, and the Google Play order history for Android.
Something else
There is no support channel. Everything the app does is described on this page and shown inside the app, and purchase problems go through the store you bought from. Your photos never reach us, so there is nothing we could look at.
